Public Skill Creation in Action: Hand-Drawn Images for Your Sales Page

This is the "run the workflow first" rule from Skills & Plugins Explained, done live.

The goal: a skill that looks at your sales page and creates new hand-drawn images in the same style as your existing one.

Step 1: Give the AI your sales page. Paste the URL and ask it to analyze the image style, check how the image is used on the page, and suggest images for other sections.

It called the style a "hand-drawn whiteboard sketchnote" look and suggested 4 new images.

Step 2: Check the first results. The AI used its built-in Python tools. The ideas were right, but the look was off. They didn't have the hand-drawn feel of the original.

Step 3: Be more specific. I told it to use my KIE AI image skill and gave it my API key. That gives it a model that's much better at this style.

The result: hand-drawn borders, marker-style text, the same look as the original. That's what I wanted.

Step 4: Now turn it into a skill. Only now, once the process works, I ask the skill-creator to package the whole workflow. The skill takes a URL as input and creates the images automatically.

Step 5: Test it in a fresh chat. Save the skill, open a new chat and use it like a normal tool. Same sales page, end to end. It came back with new image files ready to download. That's how you know it works.

Quick rule: if I had built the skill after Step 2, it would have locked in the bad Python version. Fix the workflow first, then package it.

Action Step (do this now)

  • Take one page you already have, like a sales page, bonus page or blog post
  • Ask Claude to analyze one image and make more in the same style
  • Keep refining until you like the result
  • Then say: "Turn this whole workflow into a skill"
  • Test it in a new chat
